PANIC: Update #4

Thank you, Cessirah for that piece of advice. I was just gunna write down all the ideas I had to see how long that would be. I have a lot of ideas so maybe I'll end up surpassing the 75 pages needed, haha. Currently have nine and a half pages written (oh boy :/) and since I get paid this week I'm going to buy props and costumes on Friday. I'll probably have the script finished by the end of June now. I have a few people already taking on roles in this movie. Including myself, I play a very small role. Its mostly a few of my friends that have taken the roles and I'm hoping that will be how it is for the rest of the roles. Most of them have said they'll gladly help I just haven't got to choosing a role for them yet.

The list of characters for this movie will probably not include all the characters I have written down. In the script I've included five when I've originally written seven characters.
Here's the list:

Brett Washington
- 17 years old
- Male
- A quick to act guy. He always jumps to conclusions and gets hectic over nothing. The most innocent insults can cause him to lose his temper. He’s very impatient. He believes he’s a leader type when no one wants to be near him. He’s very obnoxious and loud. When faced with danger he becomes unable to move and stricken with fear.

Tony White
- 15 years old
- Male
- Often stays quiet and focused on the task he’s been given. He doesn’t talk a lot because the others believe he’s been scared into it by the event that’s happening. He carries around a small notebook filled with scribblings that he never shows anyone else. He shoots for survival and nothing else.

Wally McLaughlin *
- 16 years old
- Male
- He seems to only be there to either cause stress, irritation or comedic relief. He seems like a person that would cower in a life threatening situation. In fact, he’s the exact opposite. When something threatens his or any other life around him, he takes action and basically kills whatever it is.

Jason Ayala
- 16 years old
- Male
- He has lots of hunting experience because his father taught him to hunt. He owns his own weapons and happens to have a copy of the Zombie Survival Guide. He’s studied the book since the day he bought it back in 2004. He knows everything about zombies that there could ever be known. He tends to be isolated from the norm and dresses uniquely.

Heather Beck*
- 16 years old
- Female
- She knows how to kick ass. She also tends to be a bit cocky at times, though. Although she seems tough inside, she rarely shows she is truly a softie at heart. She’s had a rough past, and deals with it by showing her anger towards other people. Her competitive attitude results in her winning everything.

Miranda Barnett
- 18 years old
- Female
- She’s bonded with the one person who has always been there for her. Her father. She knows how to hunt because she’s been taken hunting several times before. She tends to be ignorant and snobby at times. She’s only nice to people she’s known for a while, such as Jason since he’s been helping her since the invasion began. She doesn’t like new people or change.

Amelia Kennedy*
- 13 years old
- Female
- Very selfish and greedy. She only follows others for survival. When offered something better, like safety and wealth, she leaves completely. Normally she feels bad about her mistakes and tries to fix them, which normally ends in disaster.

The characters with stars next to their name have been assigned to people already. The characters I've written in are Jason Ayala, Wally McLaughlin, Heather Beck, Miranda Barnett and Amelia Kennedy. I'm also including raiders in my movie just to cause a little more panic and mayhem. The description of the raiders will be followed by the description of the zombies.

Raiders
- Greedy bastards that kill anything in their way. They’re ruthless and normally brutal. You do not want to run into any of these guys, or else you have two issues on your hands: zombies and machete wielding bandits. They use the most brutal tactics to kill someone. They torture you, cut you up slowly while you’re alive, and then when you’re almost dead they defile your body.

Zombies
- The slow and stupid type. The undead are infected with a disease called Solanum. The disease kills the body and then reanimates it within twenty-four hours. They can’t do anything more than the human that originally lived could. They can decompose but it takes a very long time. The zombie has no need to eat yet it still does. With no hunger to suppress it can keep eating until it eventually explodes. The only way to know if there’s a zombie around is if it sees you first and starts that long, droning moan. It signals other zombies to the area almost as if they were yelling, “Food over here.”

Anyway, back to the script.

PANIC: Update #3

The script writing is half finished. I've been working on it quite a bit since Thursday. I have eight pages 7 and a half pages completed and am currently working on Scene 5: Weed Doesn't Kill...Zombies Do. My partner hasn't helped me with much of anything so far so it looks like I'm doing this as a solo project for now.

I'm going to begin casting soon. I've already casted four characters in the film. Two minor, two major. I'll post up a list of all characters later on. Most likely tomorrow or something of the sort. Off to do something productive.

Blog Design Updated

I've updated the blog so its more up to date and original.Yeah, that's about all I've got for you. I have almost finished 5 pages of the script. At the rate I'll be done by then end of the fucking weekend.

Since I began writing the script a lot of stuff I said in my first post has changed. Nothing too serious just a few facts here and there. Anyway, I'm off to continue working on the script.

PANIC: Update #2

Yesterday night I finished the character outlines. I've started on the script. If I get the script done by the end of the June then we can start casting and other preparations. Hopefully after we buy all the props and get the soundtrack all together we can start filming. I'll keep posting more updates the further along we get with this.

Introduction & PANIC: First SG Production

Evening, Internet. Jimmy here from Sniffing Glue Films. Just thought I'd post up a blog so we can write up the progression of each of our productions. Currently in progress is the horror movie composing of zombies and ass kicking entitled PANIC. The film is being brainstormed for plot ideas, settings and many other things such as character development. The basic idea of the movie is a bunch of teenagers are in the middle of a zombie invasion, if that's even the appropriate word. The teenagers are all seperated in smaller groups but the movie revolves around two main characters who have been friends for life and meet up with the other people later on. Unfortunately, some people die/get eaten/infected in the progress.

We're hoping to post this video up on YouTube in six 10 minute segments. Maybe after we finish with the posting and get the positive results we want then we'll make a torrent of the movie and quite possibly post a link here. I'll probably be the only posting updates on the film's progression because my partner, who shall remain unnamed for now, has no idea of this site, haha. We do have a YouTube page with barely anything on it. Here is where you can find our account. Feel free to ask any questions about the film and I'll be glad to answer them.
